AP News: World & Local

World and local reporting in one app

AP News: World & Local brings reporting from The Associated Press to Android users who want a straightforward way to follow major events, local developments, politics, business, sports, and other news. It suits readers who prefer coverage from an established news organization rather than a feed built mainly from links to other publishers.

What you can follow

The app presents current headlines alongside continuing coverage of major stories. Dedicated topic areas make it easier to follow developing events, sports coverage, and subjects that matter to you. News is supported by AP photography and video, giving some reports additional visual context.

• World, national, and local news coverage
• Breaking updates as important stories develop
• Sections for sports and other key topics

• English and Spanish news access

Designed for quick reading

The layout keeps the focus on headlines and article content, making it suitable for checking the latest updates or reading more deeply when a story deserves time. Readers can browse broad coverage or concentrate on selected interests. Sports followers may also find AP Top 25 college rankings useful when tracking collegiate competition.
