Amazon Flex

What Amazon Flex Does

Amazon Flex is a business app for people who deliver Amazon orders using their own vehicle. It helps independent delivery partners manage available work, travel to pickup locations, and complete customer drop-offs through a guided mobile workflow. The app is best suited to drivers who want delivery work organized around their own availability rather than a fixed shift.

How the Delivery Workflow Works

Drivers can review and reserve delivery blocks when they are available, then use the app during the assigned work period. Amazon Flex provides instructions for collecting packages, scanning or confirming items, following the delivery route, and recording completed stops. This keeps the main delivery tasks in one place instead of requiring separate scheduling, navigation, and job-tracking tools.

The app also supports drivers while they are on the road. Route guidance helps organize the sequence of stops, while in-app assistance is available for delivery problems that need attention during a block. Initial setup includes steps related to driver, vehicle, and insurance information, so it is aimed at approved delivery partners rather than general shopping customers.

Who It Suits

Amazon Flex may suit people looking for flexible delivery work and who are comfortable handling packages, driving between multiple locations, and using a phone throughout the process. It is less relevant to shoppers or businesses seeking parcel-management software for a larger fleet, since its workflow is built around individual delivery partners and their assigned routes.

App Details

Amazon Flex is listed in the Business category and is developed by Amazon Mobile LLC. It has a 4.55-star rating from more than 83,000 reviews, with 5,000,000+ installs. Those figures indicate broad use, while the app’s practical value depends on whether delivery opportunities and partner eligibility fit the user’s circumstances.
