PDF Scanner app - TapScanner

What TapScanner does

PDF Scanner app - TapScanner turns an Android phone or tablet into a document scanner and PDF workspace. It is suited to students, office workers, small businesses, and anyone who needs digital copies of receipts, forms, contracts, notes, or business cards. The app is published by Tap AI and listed in the Business category.

Scanning and document capture

TapScanner uses the camera to capture paper documents, with automatic edge detection and image correction to help produce cleaner scans. Brightness, contrast, shadows, and filters can be adjusted when a page needs further improvement. Several pages can be scanned together and combined into one ordered PDF, which is useful for longer forms, reports, and records.

PDF tools and text recognition

Beyond taking scans, the app provides tools for managing PDF files. You can reorder pages, merge or split documents, add annotations, and sign files. Its OCR feature can recognize text from scanned images, making documents searchable and easier to reuse. Scanned files can also be renamed and shared through email or other apps, or sent to a compatible printer.

Usage and user feedback

TapScanner supports cloud connections such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive for backing up or accessing scans across devices. Password protection is available for documents that contain sensitive information. The app has a 4.55 rating from more than 2.8 million reviews and records 100,000,000+ installs, indicating broad use among Android users. Some features may be offered through a subscription, so available tools and billing terms should be checked in the app.
